Job Description For School Year 2008-2009
Reading Specialist Description: Middle school position teaching 5 classes per day in content reading. The teacher will work with core content teachers to develop reading skills in students. There should also be a familiarity with Delaware Reading Standards and the DSTP reading assessment process. Certification: Reading Specialist Science Teacher-Middle School 2008-2009 school year Description: Middle school position teaching 5 classes per day. The teacher will be familiar with Delaware State Science Standards and capable of teaching a rigorous standards driven curriculum. Knowledge of and training in the Delaware Science Kit Program is helpful. Certification: Middle School Science
Language Arts-High School 2008-2009 School Year Description: High school position teaching 3 blocks (90 minutes) per day. The teacher will be familiar with the Delaware State English/Language Arts Standards and capable of teaching a rigorous standards driven curriculum in a block schedule. Knowledge of the Delaware DSTP English/Language Arts assessment process is helpful. Certification: Secondary English/Language Arts
Math-High School 2008-2009 School Year Description: High school position teaching 3blocks (90 minutes) per day. . The teacher will be familiar with the Delaware State Mathematics Standards and capable of teaching a rigorous standards driven curriculum in a block schedule. Knowledge of the Delaware DSTP Mathematics assessment process is helpful. Experience teaching IMP (Interactive Math Program) is also helpful. Certification: Secondary Math
Health/Physical Education Immediate opening and for 2008-2009 school year Description: High School/Middle School position in health and physical education. The teacher will be familiar with Delaware State Health and Physical Education Standards. Certification: Health and Physical Education
